A light frown played across Luri's face as the ever-insistent wind buffeted her. "There is no way I'm ever going to get much done when it's-" She fell silent as, almost like it was trying to back up her point, the arrow careened in the other direction, lodging itself in the bark at the edge of the forest. She sighed loudly, wondering why Apollo and Artemis hated her so, and why Zeus hated her as well. It was windy outside and looked like it was about to pour, even though it would never rain in camp. On top of that the daughter of Dionysus was not the greatest shot in the world. Because of this she practiced twice as much at archery, yet the mis-hitting prevailed.
As she strode purposefully toward the treeline and yanked hard on the shaft of the arrow, she only then thought of what would probably happen. The shaft snapped in her hand, as she'd expected it might, but she didn't mind too much, she had plenty of arrows left in the quiver. Then she realized that there was much less wind in the forest. "A heck of a lot more obstacles," she mumbled under her breath, then pushed that aside. "I'm always up for a challenge." On stormy days she tended to mutter to herself more, mostly because nobody was willing to have a decent conversation and also because she was slowly beginning to feel more and more annonyed. Flicking the few strands of hair away from her eyes that were shielding his vision, she abandoned the broken arrow and ventured deeper into the forest.
A small clearing seemed a good enough place to practice, but there was still the matter of wind, and so Luri bypassed it, choosing a thicker area nearby as her target practice. She spent a good half hour or so shooting at random objects, occasionally breaking an arrow, the wind still a nuisance every now and then. But it was much less of a problem here than it had been out in the open, so she didn't complain under her breath as yet another arrow missed it's mark. She waited for a moment until the wind had calmed, then took aim out into the clearing, which she'd wandered over to the edge of. Her goal was for the speeding projectile to embed itself in the soft bark of a dead tree across the clearing. When she had the target in her line, she released the bow.
Bad timing, indeed.
Instead of flying in a straight line, a sudden and violent gust of wind caused it to veer strongly to the right. It wouldn't have been more than the cause of a few grumbled insults toward the skies, until she noticed the fact that it almost hit someone. "Whoops," she murmured. It had missed, but some people at this camp were really irritable. "Prepare for an interesting conversation," she remarked to herself as she lowered her bow.

The random gusts of wind felt good as it blew against Reo's face. He had always enjoyed the wind and didn't quite understand why people tended to dislike it so much. "Well everyone is different and it can get a little annoying at times" He contemplated as he flicked his hair towards the sides as the wind had blown his hair into a mess and into his eyes, obscuring his view. Well at least he wasn't very vain and didn't care how his hair was left as long as it wasn't in his eyes.
He continued to walk deeper into the thick forest, admiring the wildlife that thrived. Reo got quite amused with almost anything and nature was no exception, he loved it in fact although this wasn't the prettiest of forests though there was something... 'magical' about that place. Well it was the God's forest after all, there was bound to be something about the place.
Sighing as he marched through, Reo started to feel that all too familiar loneliness he had been feeling for the past few months. Why he felt so, he never understood, he just knew he felt like that. Girls didn't seem to like him in the way he liked them, like he was forever destined to be 'just friends'. As his chain of thought continued, Reo found himself wondering if he should turn gay, only to shudder at the thought of actually doing it with a guy and having that thing up his bum. No, he would stay straight, it was much less scarier.
Lost in his thoughts, Reo hadn't taken note of where he had walked to, only snapping back to earth when an arrow flew millimeters in front of his nose. "WHAT THE GODS!?" He exclaimed habitually before glancing around and spotting a red haired girl with a bow in hand. "Who, what, was she? An assassin!" Reo's thoughts flew a million miles a second. "Asesino! Me quere matar! Look look look, you have no reason to kill me, I have done nothing to you, just please, I'm nothing special, no need to kill me." Reo attempted to persuade, lifting up his hands in defence although it was more so surrender. He wanted to avoid fighting, at least until he got to know people more or it was a camp activity, he wasn't exactly sure what everyone else was capable of, better safe than sorry.

Luri tilted her head slightly as the guy, yes it was most definitely a guy, yelled something she couldn't quite make out over the chattering that ensued. The dryads seemed to be quite annoyed by the ruckus being caused in the woods now. Most of them were looking in her direction, as if it were her fault the guy was yelling now. Well, perhaps it was.
The grip the demigod had on her bow loosened until she finally decided to sling it across her back where it could do no more harm. It was large, in fact the tip nearly touched the ground as she ignored the angry dryads and stepped towards the surprised and confused looking person, who was now spewing foreign words. Spanish? Italian? Portuguese even? She wasn't the best with languages. Wait, he switched to English, rapid English too. Luri could tell he was a little anxious about the whole "YOU ALMOST JUST KILLED ME" situation.
"No reason to kill you?" Her thin eyebrows rose and her lips twitched upward into a smile. So he thought she was trying to kill him? She mimicked his raised hands by raising her own, palms facing outward. He didn't seem to be very confident, but that didn't mean she had to tease him. Eh, could she resist though? "OF COURSE I have a reason to kill you!" She said, chuckling. Some dryads were rolling there eyes but once more she ignored their actions. Luri couldn't keep from giggling so finally she relented.
"I'm just screwing with you kid." Her grin was bright and authentic. "Say, where are you from?"

Slowly lowering his hands, standing up straight, Reo chuckled nervously in response. Perhaps it was just her idea of a joke or fun or something. There were some pretty insane people out in the world, just turn on the news and there you go, something or another happening in some part of the world. Was there ever any peace? Any love in the world? Why couldn't people just accept one another. That was Reo's mission in life, although his current goal, mission, was just getting out of this alive.
"Uh... I was born in Chile but lived in Australia for a few years before coming here." He said in a strong hispanic accent. Spanish really was his first language but as there seemed to be a lack of latino demigods and in Australia they all spoke English, Reo was forced to quickly learn a second language. He wished there were more people who spoke Spanish around, but hey what you gonna do, just deal with the people who are already here. "How about you?" Reo asked in reply, gradually becoming more comfortable with the situation.
Well the girl seemed to be okay, hopefully she wasn't actually an assassin. But aren't usually assassins quiet and sneaky? Or was that just ninjas, Reo wasn't sure but this girl seemed not to be bad. She was actually quite cute to, once he got past the part where she almost killed him. But at least the dryads weren't being a hassle, Reo actually found them to be quite annoying at times, plus he didn't have a weapon at the moment so he would have to probably rely on the girl, and that was usually never a good sign in front of the opposite sex.

Luri watched the guy with a slight interest, silent on the outside but still trying to guess where he might be from. She had plenty, though she wasn't going to voice any of them. She was uncommonly interested with people from different countries, even though they were all human. Her mother had loved traveling after all, so she wasn't a stranger to different cultures and what not. Not to mention the time she had gone to the world cup. Being surrounded by people of so many different races had only raised her interest, in soccer and in geography.
He seemed to be getting a little more comfortable, and finally she could pick out the words he was saying. He had slowed down his speaking quite a bit. "La roja," She said, her smiling growing wider. The nickname for the Chilean soccer team. She was no stranger to it. It wasn't her favorite team in the world, but she enjoyed watching them play. As for Australia, all she knew was that they were good at Cricket and Rugby. And that Australian wine was good.
"Me? I'm from Chicago, born and raised in the U. S. of A." She replied, a little dejectedly. In her view, her origins weren't exactly exciting. Her mom was from Canada and moved to Chicago, where she was born and pretty much never left until she was eight and old enough to travel without much of a hassle. Since then she was always wishing she had lived somewhere else.
"So you speak Spanish? Think you can teach me some?"
