How do you string a bow? To string a bow one must: 1. Identify the top and bottem limbs. 2. You have to attach the limbs. 3. Fit the string, loop one end of the bow string completely over the top limb tip and slide approximately 1/4 of the way down the limb. One end of the string may have a larger loop than the other. If this is the case, the largest loop should be fitted over the limb tip. 4. Twist the string approximately 10 full turns and fit the bottom string loop over the bottom limb tip so it fits snuggly around the limb tip. This end of the string should remain on the limb tip and lie on the inside face of the limb. (The same side as where the long narrow groove has been ground into the surface) 5. Push the pouch end of the bow stringer onto the bottom limb tip, trapping the bow string into position around the limb tip. 6. Loop the 'saddle' end of the bow stringer over the top limb tip. Slide the bow string as far up the top limb as possible, and rest the 'saddle' just below the string on the side nearest the centre of the bow.
How would you find out what kind of bow to use? If you are a begginer than you would deffinatly wan't to start out with a light weight bow. You also want the bow to be half your body hight. Intermediate I think they should go with a little more weight and then so on for advance. On a typical target, what are the point values? On a typical target the point values are: From the farthest, which is the white, the point value is 1-2. The second is black. The point value for it is 3-4. The next one is blue and the ranking is 5-6. Red is 7-8 and last but not least, gold 9-10. So: Gold = 10/9 Red = 8/7 Blue = 6/5 Black = 4/3 White = 2/1 And if you miss you get 0.
What is a bulls-eye? A bulls-eye is the center most part on a target. It can also be any head on perfect hit on any target. FIVE GOLDEN DRACHMAS

after a long day of archery class, matt had demonstrated almost no possesion of skills, though she had progressed from nearly hitting chiron to hitting the edge of the target. she sat down to complete her homework : --

How do you string a bow? First, you have to locate the limbs. Then attatch them & fit the string. Then you must loop it around. How would you find out what kind of bow to use? You would want to start witha light bow. I would suggest advanced archers try using bows that are a little bit heavier. On a typical target, what are the point values? On a typical target, the bulls-eye is 10 points, the one outside of it is 9 points, & it continues with that same pattern, one less than the one inside it. What is a bulls-eye? A bulls-eye is the hardest to hit, but gives the most points. It is also the center of a target. FIVE GOLDEN DRACHMAS

How do you string a bow?
1. Slide the top loop of your bow string over the nock and down the limb about halfway, or as far as the loop will allow. 2. Fit the bottom loop into the nock, being sure to align it properly in the groove. 3. Hold the string taut from the bottom nock by holding the thicker serving area at the center of the string. 4. Step through the bow with your left leg, while keeping the string stretched tightly between your hand and the bottom of the bow. 5. Brace the bottom of the bow against the front of your right ankle, or in the arch of your foot if you are wearing sandals or barefoot. You can help hold the bow tip in place by sliding it under the top flap of your shoe. 6. Bring the bow upwards to rest on the back of your left thigh, just below your buttocks. 7. Push the top of the bow forward with your left hand, leaning back slightly into the bow with your thigh if you need the extra help. 8. Slide the string up with your left hand, letting it slip into the upper nock firmly. 9. Position the string in the nock groove and double-check that the bottom nock is also still aligned.
How would you find out what kind of bow to use?
Beginners start with a light bow for easy use and control. Advance users use heavier bows for better precision.
On a typical target, what are the point values?
10 being the most center or hardest to hit spot, with the point value going down as you move from away from the center of the target til you reach 1.
What is a bulls-eye?
its either the center or a hard to hit spot. its normally colored red.
