Yes, yes, settle down you stupid brats. Another pointless campfire. I suppose I'll have to lead in the singing then let the Apollo kids take over. Oh, he's a jolly good fellow... Yes, I'm done now. Let's get some wine - er Diet Coke - over here. Someone order the nymphs to get the marshmellows and graham crackers ready because I'm not doing it. Chiron, you go get the chocolate. I'll eat one I suppose. Then I should be off doing better things.
Now you sing and talk, whatever you like. Just don't annoy me, you little brats.

Almost immediately Ace picked up with the singing. "Oh he's a jolly good fellow." He sang back. He knew he didn't really have a great singing voice. Well he never really had anything an Apollo kid had. He wasn't really skilled with the bow and he can't really control the rays of the sun. Neither could he heal the wounds of others. He always wondered if he was sorted right. But when his hands had a bow and a quiver show up in his hands and a sun around his head he was quickly decided to be an Apollo guy.
When the marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate was all handed out, that was when the real fun began. More and more people began to sing. And then there was laughter. Ace kinda was separated from the crowd so he kinda went off to the side. He grabbed a cup and got some Cheri Pepsi. He didn't have that many friends at camp but he was hoping to find some.

A tiny blonde girl sits kind of separated from most of the people. Not knowing the words to the song, she stays silent, nibbling a s'more. She is slightly overwhelmed by all the sound. Anyone could tell that she really wanted to be anywhere but here, but she stays, at the same time wanting to learn more about life at camp.

Dream sat off to the side, kind of in the darkness. She didnt recognize anyone at the moment. She wasnt that great in social events and always ran out of things to say. She sang along quietly and drank some hot chocolate. She knew she must have looked stupid. Sitting all by herself. It kind of fit her personality to be alone. She hoped one of her friends would find her soon, and help her make more friends.

He saw the little girl almost instantly. She was sitting off to the other side. She looked almost as uncomfortable as he was. He walked towards her and sat down beside her. "Hi. Umm Are you OK?" He asked. Then he saw another girl just a little bit to other side. "Hey do you want to go see how she's doing." He asked pointing to Dream.

Tillie jumps as she hears his voice, so close to her. Over all the noise of the campfire gathering, she hadn't heard his footsteps approaching, nor the rustle of his clothing as he moved. "I'm fine, but I'm afraid you'll have to be a bit more specific about who exactly you're referring to by 'she'. I can't see, you see."

THE WORLD IS SPINNING ROUND AND ROUNDOUT OF CONTROL AGAIN campfires. they've always been fun, expecially when you're burning your least favorite books in the fire, a.k.a. twilight. (a long story.) and that was at a mortal thing. being at a demigod campfire, where the flames are magical and they shoot high up into the air if you're in a good mood -- even better. jack didn't have his guitar -- it was another kid's turn to play. so he was just a member of the audience, for once.
one look around the auditorium revealed that people were already starting to group together, sometimes in groups of two, sometimes more. it wasn't usually that siblings sat together -- that was at dinner. more often groups of friends or couples. campfire was one of the few chances where you got to go on a 'date', so to speak, if you could call sitting around and singing with a bunch of people a date. his brother ace was sitting next to tillie; miranda halfton of aphrodite was having a very public make-out session with her boyfriend (and jack's brother, just squick) blaine taylor. jack wanted to tell him to get a room, but that would probably guarentee a curse to have rap music (cringe) playing in his ear. dream was sitting alone in at the side. okay. someone to talk to, that was good. he immediately headed towards her, a grin on his face. someone he recognized. someone he was good friends with. this year was getting off to a great start. hey, dream,
he said, coming up to her. may i sit here? he asked her. another campfire. fun. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] words » 2 8 1 tagged » campers music » my bff on the phone notes » mehh, still short lyrics » homecoming - green day credit » me (:

"Sure." Dream said, smiling at her friend. He was one of her best friends and he was fun to be around. He wasnt all flirty around her like some other guys. He was like one of her girlfriends, except a guy instead. "See any cute guys lately?" She asked him, teasing him only slightly so that she wouldnt hurt his feelings.

--- matt was the first to her table, the hermes. it was a funny thing, since many campers were already here and hermes was one of the biggest cabins. this was probably because hermes was the god of hospitality and therefore, demigod children who had not been claimed by a parent, resorted to this house. matt sat there, twiddling her thumbs in confusion.

THE WORLD IS SPINNING ROUND AND ROUNDOUT OF CONTROL AGAIN dream smiled at him. sure, she told jack. he sat down next to her. it was a bit strange, so to speak -- a seventeen-year-old gay apollo boy and a fifteen-year-old athena girl being really good, if not best, friends. it was more their parentage than anything. most of his siblings thought that athena kids were 'smarty-pants'. quite a few athena kids didn't need apollo's kids for anything except healing and apparently most of them were show-offs. well. it can't be helped. look at apollo. he's flashy. and his sun chariot slash car thing -- even flashier than dad's teeth, which were even more flashy than any other part of apollo. so obviously the apollo kids would inherit a bit of his flashiness and show-off personailty.
jack's mind snapped back to reality from his quickly wandering thoughts just in time to hear dream say, so, seen any cute guys lately? her voice had a light, teasing tone to it, making it clear that she wasn't being exactly serious. honestly, there were only a handful of people in the world that could ever tease him about that -- his (mortal) half-sister back home, one person in his school, and maybe three people at camp half-blood. the rest either threw him around or, in the case of his mother, threatened to disown him the moment he turned eighteen. sigh. wait. dream said something. she'd asked if he'd seen any cute guys lately. mind. snap.
jack grinned at her. this guy sitting next to me on the plane, kurt, i think it was. he laughed. yeah. he was nice, we basically became friends, he gave me his number -- dunno if he's gay -- but as i don't have a freaking cell phone, i cannot call him until the end of summer which by then he'll probably forget about me and call the police on me. shame. maybe i'll download skype.
he'd brought his laptop to camp -- couldn't live without it, facebook and twitter and all -- but usually, he didn't get time to go on for more than about an hour a week. so maybe a friend request could be stewing in his facebook inbox, but he wouldn't know for a while. othe than that? not really. maybe when i get back to detroit i'll somehow meet him. from what i could gather he goes to school near me. he sighed and put his feet on the bench in front of him; no one was sitting there. ehh, but i've always wanted to have one of those summer flings. they sound fun. it was kind of strange how he felt most comfortable talking to a girl two years younger than him. sorry if i'm creeping you out or anything, said jack with a small laugh. i just tend to. you know. talk. lots. people were still filing in; the campfire was probably going to start soon. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] words » 4 9 5 tagged » dream, mostly. music » a very potter musical. notes » ...and you have just experienced a typical "i'm adhd!" ramble session. /long post is long lyrics » homecoming - green day credit » me (:

"Oh I'm so sorry. I didn't know you were blind." He said quickly. "I mean umm, err, can't see." Stupid, stupid, stupid! He put his face in his hands. He felt like a total douche. Of course she couldn't see. She was probably cringing at the noise; overwhelming her senses. "I meant the girl sitting next to, what looks like, my brother Jack. I think her name is Dream." He said. He of course knew Jack he lived with him for crying out loud! "So do you want to go over there?"

"It's alright. How could you have known? And I really don't care what you call it." She hears the rustle of clothing, then the soft puff of air from Ace dropping his head to his hands. She pats him awkwardly on the shoulder. "I know Dream. She kind of, erm, rescued me from a tree. Jack was there too, waiting on the ground."

Adrian Ross -Bio[unfinished]-
He has only recently been "enrolled" into Camp-Halfblood, and still had absolutely no idea about what the heck he was supposed to do. Of course, there was training and such, but he didn't know anyone to teach him the ropes. Hoping to simply figure it out himself, he finally dragged his limp body over to the Hermes Table. Apparently, his long-lost father had finally decided to show up. Wonderful. But still, it was important to please the gods, especially that he was now pretty damn positive that they existed.
So with that, the boy silently sat down near the end of the booth. Some of the older members were already in cliques, talking, seeming dead to the world around their little circle of gossip. Adrian felt unease creep closer and closer. He was never one for crowds - preferring to go off by himself and do other things, like sketch or run around. Clearly, he wasn't allowed to do that at the moment; but still, the longing to just get away from everyone silently sneaked up on him.
This feeling was only further increased by the sudden appearance of a campfire song. The urge to simply run away was only controlled by the fact that he simply wasn't allowed to leave, which was rather excruciating. But seriously. This may have been a camp, but the boy couldn't even fathom why people would want to sing ridiculous songs around an increasingly growing fire. Slowly, he moved farther away from the campfire until the radiating heat barely affected him. He could sense others talking - about a crush or something? But he paid them no mind. Besides, it wasn't like he could talk to them or anything - he didn't know anyone in the cam. So Adrian simply sat on a log, simply waiting for something to happen. But it seemed that nothing more was really scheduled for the night - kids were talking, sitting around the campfire, roasting marshmallows. He always did like marshmallows. But there were just so many people...
So instead, he wandered back to the table, the confusion on his face clearly apparent. There may have been someone else there - but he wasn't looking to be introduced to someone new. He simply wanted to figure out what he should accomplish during this free time. The small sketchbook in his pocket thumped against his leg as he sat down on the wooden benc- the sketchbook? Eh, alright he thought as he bent down to remove the small black book from his cargo pocket. The black leather was always a comfort to him - sometimes he'd even get lost in his own world whilst sketching in it. So he began to draw the fire. Of course, he only had a single pencil, but that was what shading was for. Lost in the zone of graphite and recycled cotton, he only realized that the girl had been sitting there after a few minutes. A bit shocked, he looked behind him to see the blond, twiddling her thumbs, with the same perplexed expression on her face that he had previously demonstrated. Perhaps she was new as well? He didn't know, but it wouldn't hurt to say "hello", would it? He started to say something, but embarassment quickly overcame him, causing his mouth to quickly close. He was only able to nod after that, a quick motion that indicated "you new too?"
Hopefully, the girl would understand what he was saying. But maybe she'd just walk away. Either way, he wouldn't mind the outcome.

Dream grinned at him. "You dont creep me out." She said. He was almost like an older brother to her. Didnt older brothers tend to be weird? "I hope you and Kurt get a chance to talk to each other. Or that you meet someone here at canp." She said. She got lost in thought for a few moments. The last few days had passed in a blurr of happiness. She had been in such a good mood since she started dating Michael.

this is me swallowing my pride STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU SAYING I'M SORRY FOR THAT NIGHT- - - - - - - -
matt looked up at the sound of footsteps, looking at a young man who appeared to be about her age and abouut at her level of discomfort. she assumed she had seen him in the cabins the previous night, but since the hermes crew was so crowded, she probably hadn't caught his name. she looked down, feeling as though she was probably making him feel slightly sketched out with her staring and all. while she would usually greet him enthusiastically with a proper introduction, matt wasn't in the mood, and though she didn't know the reason, was unhappy to be at camp this year. she stared away, at her multiple other camp friends who were singing extravagantly or whispering among each other. she wasn't, however, interested in budging from her table.
she was a little bit excited when the boy spoke to her. it took a little tension off of the table. she was still curious as to why few people were here. "umm, not really. i was here last year." she said " it gets easier as the summer goes. a ton easier."
