Centuries ago, the land of Illez was connected to other worlds through great feats of architecture known simply as “Bridges”. These massive constructions were capable of breaching the dimensional divide that normally kept Illez separate from its neighbors, connecting them in a large network of worlds. Trade and travel between them all flourished, but soon war did as well. In an effort to put an end to the conflict someone destroyed the Bridges and forced the worlds that used them become solitary places.
It was only centuries later that it was discovered the Bridges were not in place simply for convenience. They kept the worlds they connected to in balance and harmony, and now that they were gone those worlds were beginning to crumble and die.
Illez is falling apart. It is subtle now: strange cracks and fissures in the earth, small quakes in the ground that come and go at random, and stars falling out of the sky. Most ignore it. Denying that the problem exists is a safe and cozy road while it is still small. Yet there are those who took notice and investigated the cause of these strange disturbances. They found a solution, though it wouldn’t be easy...
The great Bridges would have to be re-made, and the worlds connected once again.
Bridge is a game in which the actions of the players have a direct and tangible effect on how the plot moves and the way the site develops. As characters progress through the roleplay you can unlock new species to play and different worlds in which to play them. The game is not shaped through its overarching plot, but rather the direction the players move it in! Think you may want to join? Then check out some of the links below!
