Your eyes are blurry. All you see is a mixture of black and white. Suddenly, your vision clears and you see a short girl with creamy skin. The girl has short black hair that frames her face and sort of twists up so her hair curves slightly away from her neck. Her face is small and narrow, but generally holds an expression close to hostility or ferocity. Her eyes are a startling violet shade, but are so close to she shade of he black pupils that it's hard to tell her true eye color. Her nose is small and her cheeks creamy and pale. Moving on, she has a small, fragile form, but you would probably earn a punch in the arm if you said that aloud. She is quite short, hovering around 4'5" and 4'6". She still has yet to grow a bit, though. Her shape is curvy, but her waist doesn't jut out like a normal girl's as much. Her breasts are also small. Jeez, all of her is small! If you wanted to sum up Rue in one word, it would be small.
If you look at Rue on a normal day, these are the clothes she would wear. From top to bottom, here it is. Her shoes are those skateboarding shoes you find a lot of people wearing. She likes them because she can easily balance and they're comfy. A pair of long, flared jeans is on her legs. No need to mention, what's under them, right? Usually, she would don a t-shirt with some sort of interesting design on it. Around her neck hangs the only jewelry she will ever wear, a leather necklace with a large purple pendent.
Personality:
For one so short, Rue Shukuteki sure has some vibrant personality. She is fierce and powerful, though it may not seem like it from the outside. She's cocky and confident to the point of irritation. If a normal person she had never been acquainted with came up to her, she would treat him/her like she treats everyone else: skeptically. She's proud and isn't afraid to get into a fight to protect that pride. Perhaps that is one of her worst traits. By hurting one's pride, you can get into countless fights and waste time over a pointless emotion. But Rue doesn't think it's pointless. She thinks it's the most valuable trait she possesses. Her last unfortunate trait is her arrogance. She never thinks before she does or says something. Nor does she really care. Lastly, she doesn't take insults well. She can be set off very easily and will get up in your face and insult you with all the strength of her colorful vocabulary.
Let's move on to her more pleasant traits. She's fiercely loyal and protective of those she cares for. If you happen to get on her good side, she would throw her life down for you. She would do the same for what she believes in. Rue is not perfect - she has lost more times than she can count. But she's learned a bit from those losses. Not a lot, but a bit. She doesn't like to lose. If she can, she'd go after the target and lose again and again until she wins. She's very determined. To sum up Rue Shukuteki, she's a small, fierce girl who's determined to win. She'll win the hard way or the easy way. Whatever comes first.
History:
Fifteen years ago, Kira Shukuteki gave birth to twins. Not identical twins. A boy and a girl. As they grew older, their parents found that they could have been identical but for their genders. They both had dark hair and unusual dark violet eyes. Their eyebrows were the same, they had the same body shape. As the twins approached five years of age, the boy began to get taller. So much for seeming like identical twins. As Jikan Shukuteki got taller, his sister seemed like she wasn't growing at all. She was still small and narrow, all sharp angles and striking features. Finally, her growth became noticeable. Her parents were quite relieved. They had thought they'd made a midget, or something. After seven years of age, Rue's growth was almost explosive. She grew several inches when she was eight. When she was about to scrape her brother's height, her growth stopped. Well, humans never stop growing, but it sure slowed. Rue and Jikan attended the elementary school almost right next to their house. Rue was intelligent, but had no motivation whatsoever. Jikan wasn't as smart, but he managed to get fine grades. The twins grew older and with them, their parents.
Rue was thirteen now. It was July 26 and it was a fine summer day. She was going to visit her friends at the park. Jikan wanted to come with, but Rue was stubborn and said her friends wouldn't much appreciate it. Jikan countered by saying all her friends were boys (which, frankly, they were) and he should be allowed to hang out with them. They got into a pointless argument that neither won because their father stomped outside and separated them.
Furious, Rue sneaked out of the house to go to the park anyway. Jikan found out and went after her. As Rue crossed the road to approach the park, Jikan leaped out of his hiding place and tried to scare her. The semi rapidly driving down the street didn't have time to stomp on the breaks. Jikan was crushed almost to death.
He died at 10:13 p.m.
For a full year, Rue lived in guilt of her brother's death. She thought it was all her fault he had died, because she had fought with him earlier. And she was sad she had been angry with him when he had been crushed. After a few years, she got over it, but the shadow of the unfortunate even still looms over her and she will never forget it. She's set her determination on something else: becoming a Pokemon trainer.
