Alex lay on his one side as the sun hit him in the face in his cabin. Alex moaned softly when the sun light hit him. After a minute, he opened his yes and sat up. His other cabin mates were sleeping. He slowly got up trying to think of what to do that day. After a minute, he knew what to do, go to the forge and make a sword. He went over to his trunk and pulled put a shirt, jeans, a denim jacket, without sleeves, and put them on. Once he had them on, he left the cabin and went down to the forge. It didn't take Alex long to get there. When he was there, he got out the metal that the his sibling use to make the swords, celestial bronze. He found his tools and started working on the sword.

Piper entered the forge, she wanted to make herself a new sword. She knew she couldn't swordfight with a bow & arrow. She was still new, & had no idea where anything was. She looked around for something that might destroy monsters, because she wanted a powerful weapon. "Hmm....I heard celestial bronze destroys monsters, but where is it?"

For a few minutes Alex worked on the sword he was making. True, eh may opened a some drawers and pulled out the right tools and material. Btu they appear out of nowhere, in truth. When he had be growing up with his grandfather he didn't understand of how he was able to make things so easy, even more easily than his grandfather. Of who had a life time of learning the different skins of metal work, metals, and different arts. His grandfather didn't fully get, but he said it comes naturally int he family. Of which Alex is not going to deny though. than Alex heard someone spoke. He stopped hammering and looked to the door and say a girl. "Celestial Bronze does destroy monsters. Hephaestus kids like me can make it appear out of thin air."

"Wow! That must be really cool...I need a sword for swordplay, that's why i'm looking for it. I can't swordfight with a bow & arrow. I'm Piper, by the way. What's your name?"

"I am Alexander. You can call me Alex though. I prefer Alex. I am currently making a sword right now. You can watch if you want to." Alex turned the sword over his hand. As he did so, he used his power to make fire higher so that the metal could be more soft. He started hammering on the otehr side fo the sword.

"Alright." Piper sat down & watched as Alex made the sword. It was amazing how Alex could use his powers for metalworking, he could raise the fire & make metals appear out of nowhere. "You have really cool powers. That is awesome."

Alex smiled when Piper comment on his powers. Alex was still new at knowing and realize he was using his powers. Thought his whole life, he had be using it without realizing it. He just thought it was just part of a gif ton his mother's side. that was some of it, for he learn to do different things that his father knows how to do. But it was his powers that helped make the things he made before he had entered the camp. "I think they are. I had used them all my life, but I had no idea that I was using my powers till a few days ago when I had come here to camp."

"Really? I had no idea how i was acing music class until i came here. I also had no idea how the beach was just the right heat all the time until i got here." Piper was glad that wasn't just her that was using their powers without realizing it.

"Just from the short amount of time I had be here, Most half bloods don't realize they are using their powers till they get here. It had explain why I had be able to match my grandfather’s craftsman ship in the things he can do, like with the metal work, and the art stuff." Alex turned the sword over again and started hammered the that side.

"That's amazing metalworking." Piper was really impressed. She saw how good the metalwork was, & saw what Alex had meant about being as good as his grandfather because of his powers.

"Yeah. I notice that throughout my life. So did my grandfather. My grandfather never really understand of how Amazing I was at so many things, like sculpting or stonework. the one that really amazed him was my metalwork. When I was about 8, I could match my grandfather's level of metalwork he was doing at that time. Something a eight year shouldn't be able to do." Alex remembered that day so well, It surprise his grandfather so much.

"My mom does music really well, & she was so surprised when i tried. It was amazing. I was only around 9," said Piper. She looked around the forge. she didn't see that much. She was tired, but she kept watching, because she wanted to see the finished sword Alex made.

"Funny thing about our powers is the different times they really starts to show up." Alex had turned the sword over once more as they were talking. It was than that he lowered the fire. When he lowered the fire, he went over to the barrel and put the sword into the water and pulled it out a minute later, by doing so he had finished the sword.

"Yeah. It is, isn't it?" Piper had thought that for a while now. "Wow! That's amazing." Piper was impressed. It was. The metalwork was fantastic. I wonder how late it is? Who knows. Hopefully it's time for lunch or dinner, thought Piper. She was hungry. If not, maybe i'll take a walk. Maybe to the beach? Yeah. A walk to the beach.

Alex merely nodded his head when Piper agreed with him about the half bloods powers showing up at different times. Than Piper said of what he did to the sword was amazing. With his powers, making a sword, like the one he is holding, is easy work and doesn't take long. The longest it would take for a Hephaestus to make a sword is about half hour. "Well it's really easy for me to make because of my father. It doesn't take too long either. Depending on what you are aiming for."
