Leon sat down after his archery lesson, wondering what it was he was going to do with the rest of his free time. There was a little bit of time until dinner, but, he didn't want to do anything to streneous. Then he finally decided that he would go to the Forges. Maybe he would ask one of the Hephaestus kids for help as he reforged his armour. There was a huge dent in it from taking a mace strait to the chest. But that was bound to happen eventually in a camp that trained you for war.
Leon poked his head and called out. However there was no answer. The Hephestus kids must have been at a lesson or something. It was just odd for the forge to be compleatly unattended. He tossed the bag he was carying off his shoulder and took out the breast plate made of bronze. He remembered the lessons on how to repair his armor. After heating it up, he then placed the breastplate on an anvil and grabbed a hammer. A few practiced blows would do the trick, Leon thought as he started to hammer out the dents.

Dream entered the forge looking for Michael but instead she saw a different kid hammering away at some armor. She walked towards him and watched for awhile, not wanting to disturb his work. She got bored after a few moments and began searching the forge for materials to use for one of Michaels presents.

Leon swore loudly as he struck his knuckles with the hammer and smashed it between the white hot armour and a five pound hammer. Cursing and spitting mad, Leon thrusted his knuckles into his mouth. He knew there was no way that sucking on his knuckles would help ease the pain, however it still seemed to absorb the pain. Leon jumped as he then spoted a girl in the forge with him. She definentaly wasn't one of the Hephaestus kids. She was too slender and too beautiful to be one of them.
"I'm sorry." Leon said without looking her directly in the eyes. After all he wasn't supposed to curse around women. "I didn't realize you were in here." He said softly. His voice was barely able to be heard against the popping of the fire and the puffing of the bellows that were used to heat the forges. Leon's hand throbbed painfully as he accidently hit it against the side of the anvil. "I'm Leon." He said introducing himself, hissing with pain.

Dreams eyes widened when she heard the kid begin swearing. She spun one her heel and ran over to him. She ignored his formal introductions. "Are you okay?" she asked. She hated seeing people get hurt. His knuckle had to hurt pretty bad. "That looks painful" She said, knowing it was probably not the right thing to say.

Leon was shocked at how much the girl seemed to care about him. He winced as he closed his fist. The knuckle ached and screamed in pain, from the amount of swelling that it had, he might have fractured it or even chipped the bone. But for all the pain that was being caused, he had a small cut no bigger then a sliver of a finger nail. His hand flushed red where he shook it out.
"I'll probably soak it in ice water and then bandage it. Just as long as I can still hold a bow I'm good." Leon said as he gingerly shook his hand again. There was no point in continuing to shake his hand out but he still did it anyways. He silently cursed the gods again for allowing him to smash his hand. Leon winced once more as he uncurled his fist. "Atleast this should get me out of laundry duty for the next few days." He said with a laugh

Dream couldnt help but giigle as he mentioned getting out of laundry duties. "Im Dream, Daughter of Athena" Dream said with a smile. She glanced casually at his hand and then winced. It was bright red. "Its a pleasure to meet you" Dream said, trying not to look at his injured hand.

Leon smiled at her. As was the same with all his sibblings, he had a mischevious and semi-elfen look to him when he smiled. Most people always thought he was up to something when he gave a smile like that. Just to be honest, Leon probably was up to something at least most of the time so he couldn't really blame people for being jaded towards him. "It's nice to meet you Dream. I'm Leon, Son of Hermes." He said with a short bow and a sense of pride.
The forge was now quiet. Most of the time Leon hated the sound of quiet, however this was nice. Being someplace warm in the middle of winter with someone new that wasn't eyeballing him every thirty seconds because they thought he would steal their stuff while they were watching. While that would be something his older brothers would be more adept at, he would never do something like that. He might not have had many but atleast he has SOME morals. "So what's a pretty flower like yourself doing in a forge?" He asked casually, leaning against the wall.

Dream giggled again when he bowed. She was pretty much always happy. Except when she was working on a project, then she was serious and stubborn. When he called her a pretty flower she felt herself blush. Guys tended to make her blush very easily, even if she did have a boyfriend. "I was just looking for stuff I could use to make a Christmas gift" Dream said with a nonchalant shrug.

Leon raised an eyebrow at the sound of her voice saying she was making a gift for someone. Probably a boyfriend. Damn, leon thought. Well it sucked though, Leon was always lucking out like that. Nothing ever seemed to give him good luck. Maybe he had done something to piss off the godess of luck. Who knew? But maybe he could play the part of friend atleast. He glanced at his throbbing hand once more before moving the breastplate he had been working on. Personally he prefered leather armour but he wasn't going to complain about the bronze armour. Atleast that aries guy didn't take him out as easily as he thought he would have.
"So what kind of present are you looking for? I might be able to help you if you want." Leon offered. It was the right thing to do and hey he was atleast in a good mood. He would shudder to think of what he might have said or done if he was in the usuaul bad mood that had taken him recently. Maybe it was the cold weather or maybe it was the fact he couldn't go home for christmas, Leon couldn't tell you why.

"Thats the problem!" Dream exclaimed, "I have no idea what to get him!" Dream felt herself blush at her outburst. She tended to make outbursts like that when she was frustrated or confused. She was daughter of The Goddess of battle, and thinking and stuff. She should at least have an idea.

"Well there's plenty of stuff in here. You could make him an enchanted daggers like mine." Leon pulled his out from his side. "These cause chaos when you get hit by them. or you could do something like a shield of returning." Leon was really putting his mind to work for him. "Or you could make him a bronze picture frame with a picture of the two of you in it." Leon said with a thought. "I guess it all depends on if you want to go a sentimental route or a functional route."

"I like the picture frame idea. Would you mind helping me?" She asked. She hoped he said yes because she had no idea how to build a picture frame. Well, she knew how to build on out of wood but not out of bronze or anything. "I could give you something in return.. Like, Drachmas or something"

"Yeah sure I can help you. Do you want to make one out of bronze?" Leon said with a thoughtful look. He put a hand to his chin and thought again. Well if she was the daughter Athena maybe he could do something with that. "No no you don't need to pay me back. Besides its Christmas. At least your present is going to someone who will apreciate it. Last year I got my dad a tie with the cadecus on it and well... not one of my better ideas." Leon said with a laugh. HE continued to think to himself. "Well your boyfriend, who's his immortal parent? Maybe we could brain storm how you would like the frame to look."

"Thanks!" Dream felt gratefully to this boy for helping her, "Yes, I think bronze would be pretty. Dream giggled when Leon told her what he got his father. She smiled at him. "His parent is Hephaestus" Dream said, this was why getting Michael a present was so hard. He could probably make anything he wanted.

"Hmm" Leon thought as he looked around for a spare piece of paper and pencil. He quickly sketched out a drawing. it wasn't as good as one of the people from apollo's cabin but it was half way decent. It showed a frame with a pair of crossed hammers on top and then on the bottom was an owl, the rest of the frame looked like woven branches and leaves. Sure it wasn't all the best but he was pretty good with the metal. It made him wonder who his immortal parent really was. "How does this look?" Leon asked as he showed her the drawing.
